Assesment

First couple of games in the season shows us only a snippet of what the rest of the season might entail. Early on expectations were placed on Miami which will be left unfulfilled. But, as I have always said of Lebron and will continue to say. He doesn't know how to play to equal wins in big games. A 40 pt scoring outing by Lebron is easily defeated. No team in the NBA can defend the triple double threat Lebron. He still does not understand that his best asset is the fact that he can get his teamates involved. In addition to all that, it seems that the Bulls need Carlos Boozer allot more than they should. They are struggling allot more than they should which could mean an early termination for ole Tommy boy. The rest of the east is only made up of two more teams. Orlando and Boston. Orlando still is one of the many mysteries to almost every basketball spectator in America. You have a 6'11 guy that night in and out has absolutely no competition except for a handful of teams and your offense is centered around shooting 3's. Phil Jackson once said "The best offense is adaptable" hence the triangle offense. Boston only needs to be health and they'll be competitive in may and possibly June.
As for the west, Beside the Lakers really who else has a chance? If Portland can have a healthy greg oden then they could cause an upset but even then they need a more assertive Brandon Roy. OKC, is legitamate but they are still searching for that third option. Harden could be that guy. It really doesn't matter but we could just throw Dallas in for giggles coming up short for the past 8 yrs doesn't give them too much respect in my book. This Rookie class should be very exciting John Wall or Blake Griffin ????

  1. With this second loss to Boston, it appears that Miami still has some growing pains to go through. I still say that in a best of 5 or best of seven series they will be hard to beat when the playoffs come around. You may have a poor start, but it is how you finish that is more important.

The Bulls have too much talent to not be a force in the East. Its only sad that they might have to run into Boston, Orlando, Atlanta, and Miami to get to the finals.

My "bracket" still has Miami and LA meeting in the finals (Riley will be forced to come coach the team).
