Education Policy?

The school year is about to begin and kids are on their way to doing tons of busy work while carrying heavy back sacks home daily. Let's see, why couldn't we try a schedule that would be 2 hours a class and 2 classes a day. Of course without a kid in school for 8 hours that would force parents to be more active with their children. This would allow more family time and time for extra-curricular which us westerners love so much. Think about how much more can be learned in two hours instead of one especially when it comes to math and science. Also more time outside the classroom would mean that kids could go to school all year around. This would allow more time being spent on giving kids depth in their knowledge instead of familiarization. Just saying!

Carmelo

Carmelo may be forcing his way out of Denver soon. It seems that the Clippers may be one of the biggest players in the hunt. I wonder does that mean giving up Blake Griffin which I have high hopes for. Whereever Carmello ends up if he has at least one other "winner" they'll be in the playoffs. He wants to be a contender with the Heat and of course we understand that. Carmello has the potential to be the best offensive player in the league what team has the talent to make the championship happen for him?

Rookie Talk

Since I really haven't watched NCAA in a couple years I've missed out on alot of new talent. I would have to say that Blake Griffin and John Wall are probably set to have a stand out season. I say this only because their respective teams are built around them. Blake has a legitamate point gaurd that's going to get him the ball as much as possible. The wizards have no one. Arenas, Wall, and now Kirk Hinrich all pretty much play the same position. If they wanted to win any games at all the smartest thing would be to try and play all three at the same time. Who are the other suspected stand out rookies? And just for kicks and giggles I would say that the QB from Notre Dame will probably have the best season of all the QB's drafted this year.

Miami

The off season has been filled with news on DWade, Bosh, and Lebron. Miami has made a dynasty or has tried to. In my mind it does allot for wade and bron, bron can be the distributor and wade can score. Bosh is the odd man out. He has never proven he can carry a team or even make that team better. As for the rest of the NBA, they just made every real competitor circle the date on which they play Miami. Their road to the championship is all but paved. They added some good role players but it has to work. Right now, I would be afraid of OKC and the Bulls. Miami just looks good on paper. My prediction is they'll lose their first game to the Celtics.(Arms Folded)

Fair Taxing

The Fair Tax is a program that would abolish the IRS. It would minimize government involvement in our financial personal lives. Fair tax would only tax us on items that are purchased that we do not need. This would be the most fair way to tax people across the board. It would tax the poor that find ways to buy the new Jordan's every couple of months and it would leave the frugal billionaires like Warren Buffet alone. It's hard to sell people on this idea because we all look forward to tax time. A lot of us get money back but, whenever we cross that threshold when we begin to owe money instead of owed then things such as Fair tax would be more important. What do you think?

People Loyalty or Party Loyalty

I was at an interesting meeting the other night. During this particular meeting a woman spoke out about a Congressman John Barrows. She was speaking about his 94% voting rate with the democratic side. She was actually angry that it wasn't 100%. I understood from a democratic standpoint but, I just couldn't agree with someone continuously playing it safe like that. This is a guy that voted yes to extend "The Patriot Act" which directly infringes on many of our civil liberties. Forget Party Loyalty what about People Loyalty?
