Ending and Beginnings

The truth is that all sports fans should be proud to have witnessed one of the best playoffs since 1998. We also witnessed why hard work always pays off in the end. In the barbershop I had a discussion with a gentleman about Lebron's greatness. No doubt he is great, but his work ethic needs to catch his potential. Also, there is something to be said for having a good attitude. People win and people lose, you have to be on one side of it, why act like a baby? The other thing I don't understand is why if your so much above people and their hatred, why respond? I'm not making any predictions for next year because this year I learned that the lakers with Shaq was the last true dynasty we'll see for a while.

I watched the GOP debate the other day and I was thoroughly impressed by Ron Paul and surprisingly Michelle Bachman. Up until this point, all the things I know about her have been negative. While on that stage she stuck to her record and what she truly believes in. She also understand the difference between a debate and free publicity. ANSWER THE QUESTIONS TIM PAWLENTY! Anyway Ron Paul is always a treat if, he ever worked the crowd like my friend pointed out, he would definitely have a shot at the seat. My real question is what could any of these people do differently? Repeal Obamacare? Repeal the repeal of DADT? Neither has anything to do with the economy. The government need to just get out of the way. Any good baseball teams I should watch, that are not the Indians.

Trades

After all the trades Im going to say that Portland, New York, and OKC came out the winners. Firstly, adding a player like Gerald Wallace easily makes Portland a better team. The only problem I see is the obvious overload they have at the swing man position. New York getting Carmelo is a big deal but the bigger thing in that trade was getting Chauncey. You add a guy that's better than Felton even in his old age. A guy that knows how to distribute. I'm looking to New York to make a coach trade after they don't win as many games as they expect. Your not going to win championships running that stupid uptempo offense that D'antoni likes to run. OKC added two big men and toughness in addition to a backup to westbrook that can score in bunches. Perkins adds a big brother figure to the team and a person that sucks up space in the middle. He doesn't look for the ball and he cleans up well. As for the Celtics, I'm not happy with them right now. I'm not happy at all.

They say she a gold digger

I was listening to the radio with Lindsey and there was an interesting "adult" topic on the radio. Apparently, 33% of black men think women are gold diggers. I'm not sure how I feel about that. But, I have to say that the word "gold digger" gets thrown around a bit too much.
First let's define Gold Digger. I would say that it's a woman that expects something with nothing to give. I've heard the argument "well if you letting a man climb on top of you then you should get something out of it". But, if your having sex with a dude shouldn't it be someone that can satisfy you in some way? I thought sex was a two person thing. The problem that I see with women is when they have absolutely nothing to offer a man except sex and eye candy. But they want their rent paid, purses, shoes, cars, hair done and the whole nine. I understand that if a dude spending the night every night then he probably should be giving something on the rent. But if you got your hand out just cause your a woman and you THINK you "BAD" then your a gold digger.

Blake Griffin

I don't think that I have ever witnessed a talent that I was absolutely excited about. I wasn't sold on Blake when he was drafted. I didn't know anything about him. I definitely didn't see him as being atheletic. Just another team taking a gamble on a player that is tall and has an upside. Over the past couple of months I've seen a rookie post veteran numbers. I've seen a rookie single handedly dismantle the lakers and the heat. I've seen a rookie score 47 points. Needless to say I'm a fan. Should he get Lebron James praise? or more? I do believe he should be an all-star this year. I also believe that if the Clippers make the playoffs he should be MVP. Blake Griffin has been compared to alot of people but he's clearly in his own class. He's not just putting up insane numbers he's a rookie getting a team that's been terrrible for years to win and compete. Blake Griffin is making the NBA fun again.
